As some of you may know, Students United for Public Education has been holding a “Students Resisting Teach for America” campaign since October. We’re going for another huge push tomorrow (2\17).

We’re aiming to get #ResistTFA trending on Twitter. Starting at 8:30pm EST, those in support of our campaign will begin expressing why they do not support Teach for America on Twitter by adding #ResistTFA to the end of their Tweets.

Our goal is to reach as many potential TFA applicants and supporters as possible. From our experience, we’ve come to learn that many TFA supporters have simply never heard the critiques of the organization.

We aim to change that.

You can learn more about our event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/423535351109949/

In addition, we have recently started creating and collecting photos of why people are resisting Teach for America. In addition to sharing these photos as a part of our chat tomorrow, we’re hoping to collect photos in the upcoming weeks and ultimately create a campaign video.

Check ‘em out and feel free to send yours to: SUPEcontact@gmail.com.

  4. Howdy! I know this is kinda off topic but I’d figured I’d
ask. Would you be interested in trading links or maybe
guest writing a blog article or vice-versa? My website addresses a lot of the same subjects as yours and I feel we could greatly benefit from each other.
If you are interested feel free to send me an e-mail.
I look forward to hearing from you! Great blog by the way!
